Our online store is hosted on Shopify Inc., which provides the e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services.

Your content (excluding payment information) may be transferred unencrypted across networks.
Credit card information is always encrypted during transfer.
You may not copy, sell, or exploit any portion of our website or services without written permission from us.
4. ACCURACY OF INFORMATION
We make every effort to provide accurate and up-to-date information. However, we cannot guarantee that all information is complete or current.
You agree that it is your responsibility to monitor changes to our website.
5. CHANGES TO SERVICES AND PRICES
Prices and availability of products may change without notice.
We may modify or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
We are not liable for any price changes, modifications, or discontinuations.
6. PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
PERSONALIZED AND CUSTOM-MADE PRODUCTS:
Our memorial urns are handcrafted and personalized specifically for you. Each piece is custom-made to order with your chosen personalization details (engravings, designs, etc.).
Due to the personalized nature of our products:
- Once personalization begins, orders cannot be canceled or returned
This policy is permitted under consumer protection laws for custom-made goods in:
- United States (federal and state consumer protection laws)
- United Kingdom (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)
- European Union (Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU)
Custom-made products created to your specifications are generally exempt from standard return requirements in all major jurisdictions.
PRODUCT AVAILABILITY:
Some products or services may only be available online and in limited quantities.
We make every effort to display product colors and images accurately. However, due to the handcrafted nature of our products and variations in screen displays, actual items may vary slightly from photographs. No two hand-painted memorial urns are exactly alike.
We may limit sales to specific regions or individuals.
We do not guarantee that products or services will meet your expectations beyond our stated specifications.
7. YOUR CANCELLATION AND RETURN RIGHTS
RIGHT TO CANCEL (US CUSTOMERS):
While US federal law does not require a cancellation period for online purchases of custom-made goods, we offer a 14-day cancellation period to all customers worldwide.
You may cancel your order within 14 days of placing it, provided personalization has not yet begun.
Once personalization begins (typically after 2 weeks or after you approve personalization details), the order cannot be canceled or returned, as the product is being custom-made to your specifications.
This policy complies with all applicable US federal and state consumer protection laws.
RIGHT TO CANCEL (UK/EU CUSTOMERS):
Under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and EU Consumer Rights Directive, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of placing it, without giving any reason.
IMPORTANT: This cancellation right ends once we begin personalizing your memorial urn. Once personalization work has started, the cancellation right no longer applies as the product is being made to your specifications.
WHEN YOU CAN CANCEL (ALL CUSTOMERS)
- Within 14 days of order placement, before personalization begins
- Within the first 2 weeks, you can easily change or cancel your order
WHEN YOU CANNOT CANCEL (ALL CUSTOMERS)
- Once personalization process begins (after 2 weeks or after you approve personalization details)
- After your memorial urn has been engraved or custom-finished according to your specifications
DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE ITEMS:
If your memorial piece arrives damaged or defective due to manufacturing error or shipping damage, we will arrange a repair or replacement. Your order is fully insured throughout delivery.
HOW TO RETURN DAMAGED ITEMS:
If your memorial urn arrives damaged or defective:
1. Contact us immediately at hello@hausofurns.com
2. Provide photographs of the damage, packaging, and unboxing
3. We will assess the damage and provide return instructions if necessary
4. If a return is required, we will provide you with:
- Our return shipping address
- Return authorization number
- Pre-paid return shipping label (where applicable)
- Specific packaging instructions to ensure safe return
IMPORTANT: Do not return items without contacting us first. Returns sent without authorization or to our registered business address may be delayed, refused, or result in processing delays.
We will work directly with you and our shipping partner to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
8. DELIVERY AND SHIPPING
DELIVERY TIMEFRAMES:
Due to the custom, handcrafted nature of our memorial urns:
- Production time: 5-6 weeks for crafting and personalization
- Shipping time: 1-2 weeks worldwide
- Total delivery time: 6-8 weeks from order confirmation
By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to these extended delivery timeframes, which are necessary for custom production.
If we cannot deliver within this timeframe, we will notify you and offer alternatives.
DELIVERED DUTY PAID (DDP) SERVICE:
All international orders include our Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) service. This means:
- All customs duties, taxes, and import fees are included in your purchase price
- No surprise costs when your memorial piece arrives
- We handle all customs documentation and fees
SHIPPING INSURANCE:
All orders are fully insured throughout the delivery process.
9. BILLING AND ACCOUNT INFORMATION
We reserve the right to cancel or limit any order.
Orders may be restricted by customer, address, or payment method.
If your order is changed or canceled, we'll notify you via the contact details provided.
You agree to provide accurate and current billing and account information.
10. PERSONALIZATION PROCESS AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
CUSTOMER-PROVIDED CONTENT:
When you provide personalization details (names, dates, quotes, images, logos, military insignia, or other content), you grant us a license to use this content solely for:
- Producing your memorial urn
- Quality control purposes
- Customer service communications
You represent and warrant that:
- You own or have permission to use any content you provide
- Your content does not infringe on third-party intellectual property rights
- Your content is not illegal, offensive, or inappropriate
PHOTOGRAPHY AND MARKETING:
We may photograph finished memorial urns for quality control. We will not use photographs of your personalized urn in marketing materials without your explicit written permission.
OUR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY:
All designs, artwork, website content, and branding are owned by or licensed to Haus of Urns. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
11. THIRD-PARTY TOOLS AND LINKS
We may offer access to tools or links operated by third parties.
These are provided “as is,” and we do not control or monitor them.
We are not responsible for any third-party content, products, or websites.
Please review third-party terms before making purchases or sharing information with them.
12. USER COMMENTS AND FEEDBACK
If you submit feedback, suggestions, reviews, or other materials ("comments"), you give us permission to use them freely for any purpose, including marketing and product improvement.
We are not required to keep comments confidential or compensate you.
You agree not to post anything illegal, harmful, or that infringes on others' rights.
You are responsible for any comments you make.
13. PERSONAL INFORMATION
Your personal data is collected and used according to our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
14. ERRORS, INACCURACIES, AND OMISSIONS
We may occasionally make errors in product details, pricing, or promotions.
We reserve the right to correct any inaccuracies or cancel orders affected by them, even after submission.
If we cancel your order due to a pricing error, we will notify you and offer a full refund.
15. PROHIBITED USES
You may not use our site or services to:
- Violate laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights
- Harass, abuse, or discriminate against others
- Upload malicious code or viruses
- Collect others' personal data
- Engage in fraud, spam, or misleading activities
- Interfere with security features of our site
We may terminate your access for violating any of these prohibitions.
16. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
PRODUCT WARRANTIES:
We stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship. If your memorial urn has a manufacturing defect, we will repair or replace it.
However, due to the handcrafted nature of our products:
- Minor variations in appearance are normal and not defects
- Natural color variations may occur
- No two pieces are identical
GENERAL DISCLAIMER:
Our services are provided "as is" and "as available."
We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure service.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits, data, or savings
- Damages resulting from your use of our website or products
- Delays in delivery due to customs, shipping carriers, or force majeure events
Where local laws limit our ability to disclaim warranties or limit liability, those laws apply and override this section to the minimum extent necessary.
FOR US CUSTOMERS
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under applicable US federal or state consumer protection laws, including but not limited to:
- Rights under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act
- State consumer protection statutes
- Implied warranties that cannot be disclaimed under state law
- Any other consumer rights that cannot be waived by contract under applicable US law
Where US law provides greater consumer protection than these Terms, US law shall apply to the extent of the conflict.
FOR UK/EU CUSTOMERS
Nothing in these Terms excludes our liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law
17. FORCE MAJEURE
We are not liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters, pandemics, or public health emergencies
- War, terrorism, or civil unrest
- Government restrictions or regulations
- Transportation delays or failures
- Supplier failures or material shortages
- Internet or telecommunications failures
If a force majeure event occurs, we will notify you and work to resume normal operations as soon as reasonably possible.
18. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to defend and hold harmless Haus of Urns, Sabine Venier, Mario Venier, and our affiliates, employees, and partners from any claims or damages resulting from:
- Your use of our website
- Your breach of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Content you provide for personalization
19. SEVERABILITY
If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will still apply.
20. TERMINATION
You can terminate these Terms by ceasing to use our site.
We may also terminate or restrict your access without notice if you violate any terms.
You remain responsible for any outstanding obligations before termination, including payment for orders already in production.
21. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy and any other posted policies, form the full agreement between you and Haus of Urns.
They replace all prior agreements or communications, whether written or verbal.
22. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
FOR US CUSTOMERS:
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. However, this choice of law does not deprive you of the mandatory protections afforded by:
- US federal consumer protection laws
- The consumer protection laws of the state in which you reside
- Any other US laws that cannot be waived by contract
Where there is a conflict between UK law and mandatory US consumer protection laws, the law most favorable to you as a consumer shall apply.
Disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales, or, at your option as the consumer, in a court of competent jurisdiction in your state of residence.
FOR UK CUSTOMERS:
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
FOR EU CUSTOMERS:
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. However, as a consumer in the European Union, you retain all mandatory rights under:
- EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU)
- EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
- Your local national consumer protection laws
- Any other EU regulations that provide consumer protections
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as an EU consumer. Where there is a conflict between these Terms and mandatory EU consumer protection laws, EU law shall prevail.
You may bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or in the courts of your country of residence.
ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION (EU CUSTOMERS):
